Two reasons that we have seen for these examples are:
1. Often company policy requires that the jobs be advertised, but these positions have already been filled through personal contacts.
2. Despite being suitable applicants, some people do not know how to most effectively apply for a position.
Our director, Sean Morahan, has been in the automotive industry for almost twenty years, during which time, he has developed an extensive network of contacts. He is asked by clients on an almost weekly basis for recommendations to fill key roles in dealerships. These opportunites offer career employment for Sales Professionals, Sales Trainees, Sales Managers, General Managers, Business Managers ( Finance & Insurance ), District Sales / Service Managers ( Distributor ), Service Advisors, Service Managers, Technicians, Parts Managers, Parts Specialists and Administration staff.
For example, some dealerships that Sean has worked with have gone years without advertising sales jobs or employment opportunities, even with large sales teams, because if a vacancy occurs, there is a list of eager, suitable applicants available through personal contacts.
Similarly, he has advised many people in the industry how to make successful application for an advertised employment role.
